Semester Begins

The new semester begins today here at Auburn U. We arrived at the parking deck at 7:30a (work starts at 7:45) and it wasn't too bad.

I suppose that, after living in Houston, I won't really be impressed by the volume of traffic until game day.

No Country For Old Men

Just watched No Country For Old Men. Wow. I like dark and I like it well done.

Sometimes I go a while without seeing a really good movie and forget how good they can really be.

Some people criticize movies like this. A lot of people don't like movies without tidy endings and full explanations. I think it's the same group of people that don't like poetry that doesn't rhyme, or jokes with no punch lines. Songs with no catchy chorus. I just can't relate.

Will It Blend

I bought Mel a Blendtec blender for her birthday. It should arrive within a week. I don't think she'll let me blend my cell phone :(

By the way, Mel's blog is named The Vegan Monologues which I think is downright clever.

A kid I grew up with, Danny Dupre (now Marine, Staff Sgt. Daniel P Dupre) was killed in Iraq by sniper fire.
